Welcome to the home of the Wicked Weever !
Echiichthys vipera (Cuvier, 1829) also known as the ‘Wicked Weever’ is a cheeky soul who loves nothing more than hanging out in the shallows with a big grin on its fishy face. Spines drawn at the ready, they bury themselves in the sand lying in wait for any silly unsuspecting landlubber who dares to enter their domain. One false move and ‘ouch’ the landlubber is sent hobbling back to the beach crying for help and a bucket of hot water.
